Also I love how Europeans pretend all our railway is super fast and efficient as if a train from northern Germany to Munich didn't take at least about 10+hrs alone. In the same country. That is not even half the size of Texas.

You shouldn’t date or become serious friends/partners with someone if you can’t stomach the thought of being stuck in a car or train with them for 16 hours.

#I spent 15hrs travelling from my parents' place and back home with my spouse like two days ago #and that included a plane which IS efficient and fast and cut the travelling time by a solid 17+hrs more #yes you get some trains in italy and they are super cheap and goddamn fast cause they are direct trains #but you get Deutsche Bahn and you are stuck on a twelve hours journey to Berlin that's costing you 200€ and would actually be faster by car #not everyone is rich enough to be able to go for the 500€ option goddamnit #some of us are broke and have to pray the gods of ever-changing german train ticket prices to grant us #an affordable ticket with a decent travel time that is under 10hrs
